I approached Ariel the day after he released the og version of this track, Reindeers Falling, on his substack to make the music vid for it as a long time fan of his art, and havng made more unofficial vids for him than anyone else, before I broke into doing official vids. I worked non stop for multiple days on this, I get the argument's against a.i art but not the way I use it as a tool, if u think that then cancel Tarintino n every other major artist you love. Everything's a remix and I work HELLA hard to remix the shit I do as do my friends and peers. Luv y'all even if you disagree, merrh Xmas n happy holifays n life no matter what u do. Right Wing, Left Wing, Chicken Wing right?

News from Berlin emo-punk... 

When Rouven, who drums for both ...And Then I Feel Nothing and erai, had decided to go and travel eastern Europe between June 2022 and February 2023, we considered it a good idea to record one song for each band before his departure. That way we would have a project to work on and finalize during his absence. It wouldn't have made much sense to book a studio for recording just two songs, so we rented some inexpensive microphones and recorded and later mixed both songs ourselves. Meanwhile, we had to find a new singer, too, and by September we were fortunate enough to meet Andrey, who had just left his hometown Moscow for good. As it turns out, he had been running a recording studio full-time for the last 10 years. However, we decided to not alter the almost finished mix again and just leave it as it was, to document the band's skill and craft for the time being.

4) METZ / Mission of Burma - split

 

 

 

 In 2016 Toronto noise-rock behemoths METZ teamed up with Boston post-punk legends Mission of Burma on a split single for Record Store Day. METZ contributed a cover of “Good, Not Great,” a track from Mission of Burma’s 2006 album The Obliterati, while Mission of Burma covered METZ’s 2012 anthem, “Get Off,” from their self-titled debut. The split 7” was limited to 4,000 copies worldwide. 

Now for the first time ever these songs are available digitally.

If there was ever going to be a Wedding Present song that was a candidate for a remix from the 24 Songs collection, this was going to be it! ‘We All Came From The Sea’ has a natural, uplifting dance feel to it; a slight deviation from what you might call ‘traditional Wedding Present’. David Gedge himself explains: “When Jon (Stewart, the band’s guitarist) said that, for ‘We All Came From The Sea’, he wanted to record a very repetitive track that was punky yet dancey, I loved the idea. Granted, I knew it could be something that might alienate our fans but, let’s face it, it wouldn’t be the first time! So, I had no hesitation in channelling my inner Nile Rodgers to match his Banshees-like guitar playing.” The remix gives the track an urgent, driving, dance tempo that you’d expect from Utah Saints, but without losing the essence of the track’s originality, as Jez Willis (Utah Saints founder) explains. “This song is already a great dance track; all we had to do was add machines to make it work in our world of electronic dance.” Jez continues, “As soon as we were asked to remix The Wedding Present, we said yes. It’s an honour to finally work with such an iconic band – they were inspirational to us when they started with their DIY ethic – something we emulated a few years later. We share the same city as a starting point, so both Utah Saints and The Wedding Present have had the same local musical upbringing that shapes an act.” scopitones
