1) softsurf - Returning Wave 

  

softsurf is a 5-piece shoegaze/dream pop band from Nagoya, Japan.

Since releasing their 2017 debut EP, softsurf has emerged as one of the faces of the Nagoya shoegaze scene. After a lengthy hiatus, the band is back in 2021 with the release of its second EP, "Returning Wave" on DREAMWAVES RECORDS. Following their debut, "Into the Dream", softsurf became affectionately known as Japan's answer to Slowdive due to their thick billowy sound. "Returning Wave" still showcases their tendency toward that style of shoegaze, while offering a more diverse listening experience by tapping into something of a Pains-esque pop-driven sound or veering into more whimsical dream pop. releases October 6, 2021

 Philadelphia's NOTHING return with The Great Dismal B-Sides.
A collection of tracks recorded during the band's critically acclaimed "The Great Dismal" sessions, the B-Sides unearth 3 new NOTHING tracks, "Amber Gambler", "The Great Dismal", and a Delfonics cover, "La La Means I Love You". "The world disparity and surreal circumstances that occupied all corners of life while attempting to write and record this album were so overly animated that the songs couldn't help but be contaminated," NOTHING's Domenicky Palermo comments."Trimming away at the layers to negotiate with time felt akin to ripping out whole chapters out of a novel.
