Shoegaze always has a new transformation, from the way to create the sound or to perform it as the years go by. One of a kind is the Idolgaze group from Thailand, Fingers Cross that combined shoegazing sound and their beautiful performances. Even they're not the first idol group that has a shoegaze/dreamy concept around the idol scene, Fingers Cross still has a special spotlight for it.
6 tracks inside their debut EP being a long beautiful journey for Fingers Cross. All songs are related to the band's concept, Keep Your Fingers Cross, which is a prayer for good luck. Not only focused on Shoegaze, but Fingers Cross also has a wide variety for their music. This is not just the 'genre' only that we talk about, but every story and content inside Fingers Cross songs.
Fingers Cross songs inside 'Early Birth' have different stories about the struggle for living around the society and government until romance lives. From the 'Election' song that tells about the country's hopeful election at that time, 'Fight For the Future' is a song that Fingers Cross wrote to protest in Thailand Demonstrators were attacked and harassed by the government.
Song 'The Flash' that also being Fingers Cross official 1st single release, talks about something holding them from moving... more

New Lyric video from shoegaze / dream pop band Saint Petersburg, Russia
We made this lyric video for our song "Fest" from the album "More" to celebrate the past 2021 that brought us a lot of happiness and to meet 2022 that should bring even more good news and good music!
From album More (2019)
Everything I had, what I made
Has become a dust today
And I feel like I'm empty
And nothing helps to fill
This blank space, this deep cave
Of unfulfilled hopes again
Just a miracle can help
Me to get recovered now
It came AT the end of the fall
I didn't expect it at all
It came right into my soul
And took my mind over control
This all is a mess, makes no sence
But I feel much better now
When it's all around us
Decorated with the lights
And these songs and these films
Are so stupid but for now
It doesn't matter anyway
What they are about

4) Vojtech Dyk - Šumavský otčenáš
„Někdy člověk udělá píseň a vlastně ne svojí zásluhou. Šumavský otčenáš není moje píseň, je to píseň Nás všech, všichni v sobě máme přírodu, všichni v sobě máme svoji vlastní píseň. Všichni v sobě máme láskyplnej pocit sounáležitosti k bližnímu i k něčemu vyššímu, co nás lidi přesahuje. Někdy si ten pocit zaneseme bahnem informací, bahnem nepochopení nebo se prostě jen sami od sebe vzdálíme. Někdy tak daleko, že vlastní píseň ani neslyšíme. Ale ona stále zní,“

2) Slam + Rebekah - Louder Than Chaos Vol. 3
News from Scotland techno duo + Rebekah from Birmingham.
High Octane Techno from Slam + Rebekah on Louder Than Chaos Vol. 3
Volume 3 of the Louder Than Chaos project has Slam teaming up with long term Soma affiliate, Rebekah, for another ferocious addition to the series. This double A side release kicks off with the fiery and tempestuous ‘Believe in The Night’ where shades of EBM cross with a hypnotic yet industrial backbone. On the flip, Erratic Movements has all guns blazing with a more direct and focussed approach. Harsh, sturdy rhythmic structures cascade continually as riotous, disruptive synths create the tension throughout the track.

4) Panenské plameny - Vlastní myšlenky děsí
New single from album Herostratus out January 2022
Panenské plameny is a four-piece post-punk band from Kopřivnice, Czech Republic.
Kapela vznikla v lednu 2017.

5) Day Disguise - The Hardest Walk
Nothing special about this cover... just wanted to experiment and see if I could emulate the sound of Jesus and Mary Chain by covering one of my all-time favorite songs. I actually filmed this in late July, but just got around to finishing the edits and mixing/mastering the song. Enjoy!
A solo project by Daniel Gaona that dives into the airy sonic textures and oneiric sounds of post-punk and shoegaze with the intention of creating ethereal-goth music.

2) Mandy, Indiana - ... EP
the debut EP from Mandy, Indiana from Manchester is out November 19th on Fire Talk, 10/12/2021 12" vinyl
Valentine Caulfield and Scott Fair (guitar/production) met a couple of years ago when their respective previous bands shared a bill in Manchester. Caulfield was drawn to Fair’s aspirations to write beyond genre, while Fair was instantly taken with the singer’s magnetic stage presence and harsh, visceral vocals delivered in her native French. The pair also enlisted Liam Stewart (percussion), a touring musician who’s powerhouse rhythmic presence compliments the pair’s vision—emphasizing raw energy and emotion over meticulous composition to create a singular cathartic experience.
The songs on ‘…’ EP were recorded in a variety of spaces, from rehearsal rooms and home studios to cavernous industrial mills. You can hear it in the recordings: the clattering footsteps, muffled piano and chatter at the end of “Bottle Episode” were taken from the hall outside of one of their recording spaces. Other sounds like a buzzing fluorescent light and the rhythm of a passing train also found their way into the mix.
Mandy, Indiana’s influences are fluid and their lyrics are left intentionally open to interpretation, but the group acknowledge cinematic references alongside musical touchstones. The band’s self-made music videos, influenced by the macabre film-making of Gaspar Noe and Leos Carax, see them carefully stitching together found-footage montages. Every image feels intentional, providing a visual chaos that matches the music’s unpredictability. Mandy, Indiana’s debut EP documents where they’ve been, where they are now, and where they’re going.

3) GLARE - Heavenly
New material from Texas indie-rock / shoegaze band
Written over the past few years, “Heavenly” is the first proper EP from Rio Grande Valley, TX alternative/shoegaze band, Glare. Over the years, Glare has managed to iterate and build upon their heavy, shoegaze sound heard on previous singles like ‘Into You’ and ‘Void In Blue’. On their newest recordings, the band has toned in on their songwriting structure and rhythm, while being heavily influenced by classic bands like Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, and Cocteau Twins.
“Heavenly” is full of love, loneliness, and anger. While these emotions vary from each other, Glare is able to communicate them all consistently on “Heavenly”. The EP is full of beautiful noise, swooping guitars, and lush vocal patterns that flow seamlessly on each song. “Bloom” opens with a burst of a guitar note/drums and endearment with the repeating words, “Your smile blooms one on me” while “Ghastly” closes the EP with a haunting guitar, drums, and bleakness on the current state of the world.

4) Massage - Lane Lines
News from Los Angeles, California dreampop band
Just five months after releasing their acclaimed second album Still Life, Los Angeles indie-pop band Massage returns with Lane Lines — a six-track EP out Dec. 10 on Mt.St.Mtn. (Cindy, Flowertown, Blues Lawyer) that finds the quintet expanding on their Sarah-meets-Creation Records sound with new touches of soft psychedelia, Feelies-ish frenzy and Haçienda-era escapism.
The band didn’t plan to follow Still Lines so quickly. But after the pandemic further delayed that multi-year project, Alex Naidus (guitar, vocals, former Pains of Being Pure at Heart), Andrew Romano (guitar, vocals), Gabrielle Ferrer (keyboards, percussion, vocals), David Rager (bass) and Natalie de Almeida (drums) leapt at the chance to make music together again in real life and started gathering on random summer evenings in the tiny rehearsal-space studio of producer-composer Andrew Brassell (Susanna Hoffs) with no clear goal in mind.
Lane Lines is the surprise product of those informal sessions — a flash of pent-up creative energy that serves as both a companion piece to Still Life and an exploration of textures and influences that didn’t quite fit the full-length but have always been deeply embedded in the band’s DNA, with new echoes of 1980s artists who refracted the 1960s through their own skewed prisms: Flying Nun, the Paisley... more

2) Carly Cosgrove - Munck
News from epo/punk band Philadelphia, Pennsylvania...
"Munck" is the first taste of Carly Cosgrove's yet to be revealed new full-length album, coming on Wax Bodega. Flexi 7"
"Munck" is the first single from the yet-to-be-announced debut album from Philadelphia's Carly Cosgrove.
Lucas Naylor, Helen Barsz, and Tyler Kramer met while playing in different bands around Philadelphia and started jamming after Naylor booked Barsz and Kramer at a coffee shop in Westchester. The project started as jokey and “memey,” taking its name from a combo of the show iCarly and its lead actress, Miranda Cosgrove. (Note: all Carly Cosgrove song titles are references pulled from either iCarly or Drake and Josh. Impressive commitment to a bit while still producing incredible music. Naylor says the goal is to get a cease and desist.)

5) Anxious - Growing Up Song
New single from Connecticut emo punk band...
"Growing Up Song" by Anxious from their upcoming debut album Little Green House ou 21/1/2022
While crafting Anxious’ new album, Little Green House, the Connecticut five-piece were afforded a luxury so few bands are when making their debut album: time. With extensive touring plans halted and regular life on pause, the band—vocalist Grady Allen, guitarists Dante Melucci and Ryan Savitski, bassist Sam Allen, and drummer Jonny Camner—headed into Allen’s mom’s basement and reflected on each part of the material that would turn into their first record over and over again. The result is an artistic leap that, had the band’s plans to spend much of 2020 on the road actually been feasible, maybe wouldn’t have happened.
