Singles of the Week (04/18)

1) Vundabar - Acetone



Trio Vundabar z amerického Bostonu již v únoru (23) posílí svou diskografii svým třetím albem nazvaném Smell Smoke. Kapela se zformovala v roce 2012, poté následovala hned celá deska Antics. V listopadu 2014 přišlo eponymní EP o pěti skladbách, v tom dalším dvojka Gawk což je i název labelu, kde Vundabar vydávají. Loni se ozvala formace singly Shuffle, Acetone, Glass Hand a koncem roku ještě Diver. Právě chytlavej sedmipalec Acetone dostal tento týden taky oficiální video. Jelikož jsem ho měl tenkrát pod čárou a začal se mi líbit pořádně, jak to tak někdy bejvá až po pár přehráních tak teď mu dávám zlato.

Opravdu dlouho se čekalo na nový materiál od mých oblíbenců z Manchesteru, The Longcut. Obě alba A Call and Response (2006) + Open Hearts (2009) získala v mé bilanci zlato! Skvělé singly jako Transition, A Quiet Life, A Tried and Tested Method, Vitamin C či Idiot Check stále zní skvěle. Trio právě tento týden zveřejnilo první singl s názvem Deathmask z připravované desky Arrows, která má datum vydání 6/4 u labelu Deltasonic.

Singles of the Week (02/18)

1) Miss Channa - Spanish Fly



Holandská DJ a producentka Miss Channa jede na vlně frenchcore, hardcore či hard Techno. Minulý rok se pochlubila deskou I Dont Care, letos 15/1 jí vyjde u domácího labelu další album Twisted Chaos, které obsahuje celkem 10 pecek. Najdete na něm singly Haunted Toilet, Multiplayer, Tomar El Pelo či Camels & Cars. Mě ovšem nejvíce zaujal singl Spanish Fly, který má v některých obchodech datum tohoto týdne, přesněji ve středu 10/1. Najdete v něm namixovanej hlas Joan Jett a slavné Bad Reputation, který si vypůjčila třeba taky Avril Lavigne.

1) Almond Soy - Social Misfit



Slabší várka novinek na začátku ledna dle očekávání pokračuje a přiznám se, že toto období je pro mě z celého roku vždy nejhorší a to nejen v muzice...
Každopádně pohodový debut v podobě EP hned na Nový rok si vydala kapela z australského města Perth, Almond Soy. Ještě před ním se nejprve objevil videoklip k otevírací skladbě Happy Ever After. Jejich kytarový jangle popík na materiálu nazvaném Social Misfit obsahuje celkem 4 písně, které si myslím své fandy najdou.
