1) Sugar Horse - Drugs
Bristolská kapela Sugar Horse vypouští tento týden nový materiál ve formě EP + 12" vinylu. Jejich prvotina co jsem našel bylo EP Drek z konce roku 2016, ovšem nějaký stream jsem nikde nenašel. Každopádně jsou prý velmi ovlivněny třeba Iron Maiden a v jejich muzice ovládá doomgaze s prvky stone rocku či hardcoru. V minulém roce jste mohli ještě zaznamenat EP Druj či singl GakEater, novinka Drugs obsahuje celkem 5 skladeb a vše odstartovala povedená únorová pecka Pity Party.

2) Pacino - Hlad
Tohle bude rychlý: izolace měla za následek to, že nová deska Pacino je nademovaná, a až to půjde, nahrajem ji. Jeden song z tohodle překvapivě plodného období jsme tandemově (kytary a zpěv v Praze, bicí a basa na základně v orlovské Futře) nahráli na dálku. Jmenuje se Hlad a postavili jsme kolem něj EP. Podstoupili jsme taky lehký nostalgia trip a tak na něm najdeš ještě živou, celokapelní verzi Marka ze studia JAMU a Písek pole, cca šest let starou věc, která se nevešla na náš první oficiální release.
Stojí to padesát a víc. Pokud se něco vybere, vše půjde na pomoc se zaplacením nájmu olomoucké SF Mini, což je z našeho pohledu důležitý prostor pro DIY kulturu v režii super party lidí. Jako všechny kluby v česku i oni přišli o možnost zabezpečit pořádáním koncertů finanční provoz místa.
SF Mini je kolektiv složený ze tří propojených segmentů: zkušebny, DIY skejtová scéna v Olomouci a pořádání koncertů. Koncertnímu kolektivu vypadly příjmy a i přes to, že náklady nejsou kdoví jak vysoké, parta musí hledat různé způsoby výdělku. Jedním z nich je třeba benefiční káva od kolektivu Black Seeds a tím dalším je třeba benefiční nahrávka, jako je tahle.

This is going to be quick: one of the perks of these times of isolation is, that demos for second Pacino LP are nearly finished and recording sessions start as soon as possible. We recorded one of the songs separatedly (guitars and vocals in Prague, drums and bass in our homebase in Futra). It´s called Hlad (Hunger).
We set the price at 50czk (2 EUR, 2.5 USD) and more – all proceeds are going to help pay the rent at the SF MINI in Olomouc. SF Mini do punk shows, contains a rehearsal place and is a important place for local skateboard scene. Due to the fact that all shows had been cancelled due the Covid-19, they lost the finances needed to pay the rent.

4) Blue Canopy - Mild Anxiety
Blue Canopy's 'Mild Anxiety' is the debut EP from Portland-based multi-instrumentalist, Alex Schiff. Under the Blue Canopy moniker, Alex combines versatile songwriting chops and timeless, exuberant melodies to comprise four distinct pieces that utilize nostalgia as a force to move forward.
Formerly the keyboardist and co-writer for indie band, Modern Rivals, Alex has shared the stage with bands such as Ra Ra Riot, Stars, and The Black Keys. The EP's lead single, "656" enlists the four other members of Modern Rivals (performing drums, guitar, bass, synth and backup vocals) as an official send-off to a relationship that was a formative part of Alex's youth and time living in New York City.
'Mild Anxiety' was produced by Alex Schiff & Patrick J Smith (A Beacon School/Modern Rivals).
