1) Young Mountain - Infraröd

 

The Gothenburg based art collective Young Mountain is returning after a two-year-long silence.
Infraröd is the result of countless recording sessions in the rehearsal room as the world outside was set ablaze by the rising forces of fascism and economical-inequality. This is a record about isolation, sorrow and atonement. But most of all it is a farewell to the loved ones that we have lost.

2) XO - Courage

 

  

This 4 song EP is the latest release from XO, following up their second full length record Wonder (2019).
Featuring songs written from 2014-2020 and recorded completely in isolation during the pandemic over the past year by twin brothers Jeff & Jake Turner (Say Anything, Parkside View, Hot Rod Circuit) in their homes and shared studio.
Mixed and mastered by Phil Odom (Portrayal of Guilt, Blushing, Downward). Available on limited edition pink cassette and digitally. It may be short and sweet with only four songs, but this EP is still reminiscent of each diverse past XO record, touching on shoegaze, emo, slow core and dream pop genres.
This is the 14th release by XO’s own label Twin Waves.

3) Trny & Žiletky - Maso & mysl

 

  

Tohle je Metal z Trnů a Žiletek (Vyškov)
Ostřejší skalpelu, rychlejší než žralok, tvrdší jako kladivo! Ctí kořeny, ale s ničím si jej nespleteš!
Ještě nedozněly tóny z Podměstí a už nastal čas pro další kapitolu z tábora T&Ž. Lehce ekologicky zabarvený příběh o vztahu lovce a jeho přítelkyně harpuny dnes spatří světlo světa. Zajímavostí je, že klip vznikal v době, kdy ještě nebyla hotova samotná nahrávka, což se dá označit za odvážné, možná trochu arogantní, ale zcela určitě dobrodružné. Mohlo se totiž cokoliv pokazit, nepovést, ale múzy tentokrát stály při nás. Na klipu se různou měrou podíleli tito skvělí lidé Michal Šteflovič, Martin Ferko, Petr Bařina, Leona Sedláčková, Michael Sedláček, Pavel Catch Krejčí, Kuba Valehrach, Lenka Crhová-Trávníčková a společně se nám povedlo natočit takovou podívanou, která je v rámci žánru rozhodně neortodoxní. Budeme velmi rádi za sdílení, komentáře, prostě za Vaše reakce.

4) Minimal Schlager - Voodoo Eyes

 

 

News from Berlin, Germany synthpop duo
Dry-pulsing beats, hyper-literal lyrics, and ethereal female vocals… it’s hard not to imagine oneself driving down Mulholland when you listen to Minimal Schlager. Fran Parisi develops minimal beats with grinding bass synths; as his sister Alicia whispers, screams and chants on top. Together the music becomes something that blends industrial, psychedelics and confessional storytelling.
