2) Lunar Isles - Visitor 

 

 

New material from dreamy surf-pop a Scot in South Korea Lunar Isles is the moniker of David Skimming, a Scottish multi-instrumentalist who produces surf-tinged dream pop songs with a DIY approach from his newfound home of South Korea. After swiftly following up the debut album 'Tides' with the sophomore effort 'Mirror Shapes' in 2021, Lunar Isles presents a more succinct and focused collection of tracks with the Visitor EP. Across the five tracks, the intricacies of settling in a foreign land are explored against a backdrop of lofi indie-pop production. 'Dreamy, poppy, rocky, summer days on the beach feelings. Words and music by Loren Vanderbilt III with lead guitar written and performed by Scott Hibbitts. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Adam Stilson at Decade Music Studios in Chicago, Illinois in Fall/Winter of 2021/22. Additional vocals recorded by Doug Malone at Jamdek in Chicago, Illinois in January 2022. Artwork by Loren Vanderbilt III.

News from nugaze St. Louis, Missouri band... 

Still is a shoegaze band from St. Louis, Missouri that was formed in 2020 by Michael Hoeltge, Ben Koeing, David Shanle (New Lives, Time and Pressure), and Chris Wright. "Faint" is the debut EP from St. Louis, Missouri shoegaze band, Still. The band was formed in 2020 by Michael Hoeltge, Ben Koeing, David Shanle (New Lives, Time and Pressure), and Chris Wright, with a goal to write something different from their previous bands, primarily consisting of indie, hardcore, and pop-punk music. Still is a drastic change from the aforementioned, incorporating classic elements of shoegaze, with a mix of slowcore. "Faint" feels like a journey from start to finish—introduced with guitars fading in on "Spinner" and concluding with fuzzy guitars, melodies, and heavy-hitting drums on "Downward". Throughout all of the noise, however, there is still a sense of catchiness, which can be difficult to capture in the genre. Still pull off the sound extremely well, with the help of local St.Louis producer, Gabe Usery, and master engineer, Zac Montez (Cloakroom, Turnover). “What's left to feel with all the sounds, as it all falls down?” credits releases April 1, 2022
