2) Airiel - Hide & Seek

News from Chicago, Illinois shoegaze / electronic / indie-rock duo...

"Hide & Seek" explores the fleeting nature of young love, chasing moments of light and joy before they slip away. Frontman Jeremy Wrenn’s hazy, ethereal vocals soar above the swirling instrumentation, evoking a sense of longing, hope, and nostalgia. The band's signature mix of lush textures takes on new life here, as the song builds to an unexpected crescendo — a powerful taiko drum rhythm layered with the subtle elegance of a grand piano. This cinematic finale underscores the epic studio production that Airiel has crafted. Recorded and produced by Adam Stilson and Andrew Marrah at Palisade Studios in Chicago, IL.
Performed by: Andrew Marrah & Jeremy Wrenn

3) Prism Shores - Holding Pattern

News from Montreal, Québec indie-rock / shoegaze band...

Video for "Holding Pattern", the lead single from Prism Shores new album "Out From Underneath" out January 17, 2025 on Meritorio Records.

Prism Shores are Montreal janglers with one foot planted in ramshackle C86-indebted indie pop and the other in the shimmer of early English shoegaze. Their sound is reminiscent of perennial genre reference points (Sarah, Creation, Flying Nun) while leaving its own idiosyncratic stamp.

Jack MacKenzie - guitars, bass, vocals, synths.
Ben Goss - bass, guitars, vocals, synths.
Luke Pound - drums, percussion, drum programming, guitars, vocals.
Finn Dalbeth - guitars, vocals.

No Drama is an indie/punk quartet from Toulouse, France, formed in 2022. After a year spent playing local shows (opening for bands such as Come, Spite House and Hotline TNT), the band released an eponymous debut EP on Nov 23 and subsequently toured in France and Spain. Their new release is due Nov 1st, and includes ‘Papershop’, a pop punk hit which deals with working in a stationery retail company full of annoying customers, and ‘A City Within’, a more contemplative track which imagines parallels between an old cemetery in Toulouse and housing in modern cities.

5) Kassie Krut - Racing Man

News from New York experimental electronic trio...

On Kassie Krut’s self-produced, self-titled debut EP, their approach is deceptively simple. With a constrained palette and a penchant for repetition, they find a world of opposing textures and timbres: electric and acoustic, synthetic and organic, smooth and frictive, terrestrial and celestial. Their scratch-made sounds melodize the hard-edged noise of daily life—car alarms, notification chimes, dial tones, feedback—setting it against stutter-step high hats, pots-and-pans percussion, and tensile bass tones that thrash around in the head like a rubber ball. Written and Produced by Kassie Krut Mixed By Matt Anderegg Mixing Additions by Andy Tyler Clarke Mastered by Ryan Schwabe Artwork and layout by Nicola Tirabasso
